Review: Maybelline Red Revival

I decided to join in on the lipstick trend! My second color I am trying out is the Maybelline Red Revival one of the Color Sensations! I am enjoying the lipstick trend it seems to add a little more class and sophiscation to a woman when done right. The Red Revival was a great color I actually played around on Maybelline's website on the shade finder a few times before deciding to try the Red Revival. I loved most that the color wasn't to heavy but I must say I totally have to continue to refresh the lipstick after awhile. One night I went out to a lounge accidently left the lipstick at home and by the middle of the night had to completely remove the lipstick because it started to look dried out on my lips. Overall great color, I'm a dark skin chick and was still able to pull it off nicely! But if you leaving out for a while...remember to carry it with you at all times!

4.       How did you get started styling?
By interning in New York City with stylist: Donald Lawrence & Liz McClean.

5.       You have styled videos and shoots, which do you prefer?

6.       What are a few projects you have styled for?
As my journey of styling; I have always loved doing editorial shoots. So  i had the chance to style for Deutsch Magazine,Linie Magazine,Lucky... & Campaign Ads.

There are alot of new projects coming up as well..

Right now I am working for BPCM as a Fashion/Accessory Assistant... everyone from Vouge India to Marie Claire I get to pull for them either for cover story or a editorial page. Also Celebrities too; events, red carpets...etc

7.       What would be your dream job?
To Have My Own Company

  1. How did you come up with the concept of Style Junkie?

 

    Developing the concept of Style Junkie was a no brainer! Style Junkie’s concept was merging personal styling services with retail and always being innovative and creative.  So while I was on maternity leave, I developed the concept based off what I didn’t see on the market currently.

    2. What advancement will having the boutique along with the online website bring to not only the company but women seeking style consultants?

    When I launched the online store, I had no idea Style Junkie would take off this fast. So I had to get a physical space to accommodate. The showroom will give the personal feel. I am definitely a people person so it will give the one on one that the site isn’t able to give.

  1. What services will Style Junkie provide?

 

  • Private shopping sessions…Style Junkie showroom offers clients the luxury of shopping alone with a personal stylist. I know I hate going to Forever21 and shopping with everyone else who is going out that night. So Style Junkie offers shopping privately, wine, and refreshments.
  • Concierge services…Style Junkie offers services you won't see at other boutiques. We keep personal shopping files on each of our clients.
  • Trend forecasting..  I AM FASHION OBSESSED. So each session, we offer trend forecasting to keep our clients as TRENDSETTERS.

  1. Does Style Junkie Boutique online provide services outside of Memphis?

 

    Honey yes.. We are international. If you want shoes we ship them. If you want a personal stylists, we can log on to the internet and give you the same services online. I call them e-shopping sessions..they are actually going to be really fun.  But I am definitely interested in taking Style Junkie around the country. So look for stores everywhere soon.

  1. With the lifestyles of the women today how does your services help provide them with all their needs?

 

Today’s woman is chic. She’s fabulous. As we all know, the lifestyle of today’s woman is inspired by celebrity lifestyle. I think we all are obsessed with what celebrities are wearing, well what actually how stylists dress celebrities. So Style Junkie offers a luxury lifestyle on a budget. No longer do you have to be a celebrity to have a personal stylist who pulls clothing for you for an event or just simply for your wardrobe. Style Junkie whether in the showroom aspect or online, you can actually have a private shopping session with a stylist or e-shopping appointment via the online site. Everything is affordable and chic!
