Studio Basics: Brow Essentials
I can admit when it comes to my eyebrows I am very sensitive in that area.
I truly believe that a woman's eyebrows makes the face and when your eyebrows
are in top shape well you are in top shape! Now every woman is particularly different
when it comes to getting the eyebrows done. Some like them waxed, many just pluck or
arch the eyebrows themselves.
Getting them done on a regular basis is fine but every women
should have those products for those "Just in case" moments. Your "Just in case" answer
Studio Basics: Brow Essentials! "Me" personally I use the brow essentials on a regular bases
because it's not only afford but so beneficial. It's one of those do it and go type ordeals and if you are
a busy person this is the perfect product for you!
What I love about the kit is how it lets you groom and shape your eyebrows with an arch you prefer. You can get the perfect arch for you face!
Four stencil styles included in the packet are Thin Delicate Arch, Slim Medium Arch, Medium Natural Arch, and Full High Arch.
The 12-piece brow set comes with
the spoolie, eyebrow scissors, eyebrow stencils, tweezers, dome-tip brush, powder eyebrow color, angled brow brush, and eyebrow gel.
The kit also comes with step by step directions on how to use your kit. There are days when I just use the gel and eyebrow color to fill in and complete my look!
You can get studio basics at parispresents.com where you will come across many other Studio Basics products and kits.

Review: Tri Swim Products
Over the past several years, I've heard a lot of hype about specialty swim shampoos/conditioners/body washes/lotions etc. I've read several reviews. Some people didn't feel like they cleaned well, some didn't think they had enough suds, some didn't like the smell. So, I've been satisfied to stick with my usual hair care and body products. Lately, I've been swimming 5-6 times a week. I've noticed that my hair was REALLY dull, and my skin was REALLY dry! Nothing I had on hand, seemed to help ANY!! So, I was excited when the new issue of Swimmer Magazine had an ad from the SBR Company that makes the Tri Swim products. In their ad, they mentioned that you could get free samples by e-mailing them. Off I went to the computer to enter my information. Within 3 days, I had a big envelope full of samples from their Tri Swim line. They included: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and body lotion. They also threw in one of their Foggle towelettes to clean my goggles!!
To say the least, I was very skeptical. As soon as I had my first opportunity, I tried them out!
The shampoo got rid of the slimy, chlorine feel of my hair after my swims! It made it squeaky!! The smell was a very nice citrus smell. It made me think of grapefruit. When my hair dried, it was very shiny and the dullness was gone. I was also pleased with the conditioner! It got the tangles out (I have long, curly, fine hair, so this is an issue for me)and moisturized, without making my hair feel weighed down or greasy.
The body wash and lotion were excellent as well. Both had that same citrus smell as the shampoo and conditioner. I found out rather quickly that a little bit of both go a long way! I'm used to using moisturizing body wash, so the Tri Swim body wash had a very different feel. My skin felt REALLY clean and squeaky, while I was in the shower. After I was out and dried off, my skin felt smooth and moisturized. The lotion absorbed quickly and left my skin just feeling and looking soft, instead of slippery and greasy.
All of the above products contain gentle, natural ingredients to help repair the damage that chlorine leaves behind. From the Tri Swim website:
Best of all, Tri Swim is a product that animals lovers can feel confident in using.
NO ANIMAL TESTING : :
All of their products are VERY affordable, whether you get them from the Tri Swim website or other swim retailers. Prices range from $8.95 per tube to $13.20 per tube.

Legacy Ink Part II Interview
Lovers&Fighters is the t-shirt collection from Semaj and Troy the owners of Legacy Ink! With the second part of the interview get to know ALL about Lovers&Fighters and how you can get your hands on a t-shirt from the collection!
The Concept of Lovers&Fighters is "Fight for what you love and love for what you fight" (Semaj Thomas) and "The balance between good and bad some what like the ying and yang" (Troy Cheairs)
When creating designs for Lovers&Fighters where does the inspiration come from?
(Troy) A lot of time from popular culture and other times from meaningless conversations that we have. I mean there is really no set format...we move when we are moved!
If a person wants to rock Lovers&Fighters t-shirts where can they purchase the items?
(Troy & Semaj) They can purchase them at www.lovers&fighters.com and at Legacy Ink, 727 South Church Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
The clown tee, what is that called?
(Semaj) It's called Gangster Clown, it's not new but it's going to be a reprint because people pretty much like that.
Now I love the "Peace Gun Tees" you have to explain the meaning behind it?
(Troy) Once again it all revolves around "Balance"! With the same two fingers that you make the peace sign with you can also make the gun sign. Its all up to you to decide which side your on.
How long have the company been around? and what do you envision for the future of Legacy Ink and Lovers&Fighters?
(Troy) Legacy Ink has been around for three years and in the near future you will not only see fly L&F shirts but will also be able to shop for more brands as we are looking into expanding your retail efforts.
(Semaj) We have a summer line out right now of tees where they can go and look at our new summer line, we are trying to come out with pretty much a monthly shirt, like every few months come out with a different design. Just to keep it in the people's ear and plus we are a new company we're trying to get as much exposure as we can.
What's next for Lovers&Fighters, what can we see next out?
(Semaj) Pretty much the newsletters so people should pretty much be on the lookout for the newsletters we are going to be coming out with and our new lookbook we are going to be coming out with for our summer line.

Legacy Ink Part I Interview
Walking into the shop of Legacy Ink I was amazed at the little shop that holds so much creativity owned by Semaj Thomas and Troy Cheairs, both graduates of Middle Tennessee State University. Legacy Ink located on Church St. has been the place for two years that the graduates has done work for Cricket, Hangtime, MTSU TXMD department, Phatkaps, Chase Boys and so many more that come into the shop looking to take their brand and place it on a t-shirt for promotion. Printing screen tees at the shop it seemed only to perfect for the boys to bring to life their own t-shirt line. Lovers&Fighters “Means the balance between good and bad somewhat like the ying yang, this is reflected in a lot of our designs” Troy tells Fab Life. Learning the history and listening to how Semaj and Troy started was impressive and finally sitting down to meet the guys was an overwhelming feeling. Walking into the shop of Semaj and Troy I really didn’t know what to expect. Semaj was my first interview about the company, radiating a laidback attitude he welcomed me into the dynamics of Legacy Ink and the growth of Lovers&Fighters. Troy himself was a different story with quite a sense of humor I could tell why the two was able to link together and build success in the heart of Murfreesboro. Starting out in the dorm at Middle Tennessee State University the two created their first line/brand “Revolution Clothing” which is now Lovers&Fighters a collection of t-shirts that follows a model of “Fight for what you love and love for what you fight.” Semaj said about the t-shirt line. When asked what separates the two from each other that helped to come together to build such a successful company Troy tells Fab Life “I believe that we work good together because we trust each other and allow each person to do their own thing but keep focused on the overall goal.” Making it’s mark on events such as Naked Without Us and CafĂ© Bella Industry Wednesday’s the future of Legacy Ink and Lovers&Fighters is looking bright and with a great outlook the Men behind the brands have a very definite plan to further their companies into much success and we are pleased to get to know The Men Behind the Ink Semaj Thomas and Troy Cheairs.
1. Tell me a little more about Legacy Ink?
(Semaj) It’s Legacyinkdesign.com you can go online for more information. It pretty much started with me and my partner and another partner Ross, we started it a couple of years ago it was pretty much based out of a basement one of my partner’s aunties in Nashville, so we started in a basement to getting our own building, pretty much a few months after we opened up and we found a building in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and we got the building we been here for 2 years.
2. You have Legacy Ink which is your screen printing company, how do you create the concepts around each individual company’s and the organizations you have worked with?
(Troy) We allow for customers to bring in their own designs or work with our graphics department were we can create custom designs.
3. I checked out your blog I really liked it, it shows the different designs that you have done! You’ve worked with Akpsi, Hangtime Clothing Store, you even did work with Cricket. What has been your favorite so far?
(Semaj) I would have to say doing that for Hangtime was pretty cool because we could be creative with it, as far as another client doing, we been doing stuff for Phatkaps and it has been pretty cool to coming up with concept and different things for him as well.
(Troy) Well, I would have to say I enjoy working with all our customers and affiliates but especially I like doing collaborative projects and working with charities.
4. What is a day like here at Legacy Ink?
(Troy) It truly depends. Some days are very busy and some are very slow but it’s always something to do.
5. Is there any company around Murfreesboro and/or its surrounding areas that you would love to design for that you haven’t had a chance to do yet?
(Semaj) The Hundreds, they have pretty good concepts, and Johnny cupcakes he has a pretty good concept going around to. Like designing for people like that would be cool. They have pretty good following but I need to be where they’re at.
(Troy) Yeah, I would love to work with Jack Daniels. I would love to develop and design a marketing campaign for them.
6. So, if someone wants to come and they are looking to get graphic tees made here at Legacy Ink what do they need to come with?
(Semaj) Pretty much they need to come in with their design, if they don’t know what they want we can offer them and get their design pretty much fixed up for them. Second if they do come in with a design it needs to at least be $300 pdi down, it can be in illustrator or Photoshop, that’s pretty much it. The color of their shirt that they would like, and what they designed.
7. What do you see in the future as a whole for Legacy Ink? Here Locally or Worldwide?
(Semaj) Worldwide it’s pretty much doing creative things, as far as helping other people start their line because it would pretty much be like doing and we have the experience, so that and helping other people develop their concept, and more than anything to get Lovers&Fighters out there.
8. I’m very impressed that two MTSU students has had such success, what advice can you give other graduating and future graduates for the future?
(Troy) “Plan your work and work your plan!!!” and make as many useful relationships as possible.
Tune in June 16th for Part 2 about Lovers&Fighters and how you can get your hands on a custom tee from the line!
